try enrolling him & yourself in an obedience class in your area, you can look up dog training in the phonebook & should find something there or go to AKC.com they have links to breeders and such in all areas & you should be able to locate one that way.....dogs have to be trained to be obedient unfortunatly they usually just dont do it on thier own

To train a dog correctly you must make sure he knows you and what you are about. The reason is in this you acknowledge there actions through good communication, the communication is key in having a well trained dog. As many people before me have said that is takes a long time, so in being patient is am must. Also during the day set times to spend with your dog, you have to be the master so through simulated exercises teach your dog to sit, behave, or preform what ever tricks you want him to. Also the Internet is a good source on training your dog. If you be consistent preform your exercises daily you will yield a more "athletic pet"

I have my 5 month old Bichonpoo enrolled in Puppy Kindergarten at Petsmart. That is a good place to start. They learn basic obedience and socialization with other dogs and people. From their you can go into more advanced obedience classes. The dog learns how to be a "pet dog" and you learn how to work with your dog and become a good and responsible owner.

I would say that if your dog is still a puppy then you should have no problem teaching it to be a "pet dog"....what else would it be? You just have to make sure to use short commands and use them repetivtively, so the dog will know what you mean each time you tell it something. Just don't hit the dog...they don't even understand that. They need to be repremanded for their misbehavior, but try to do it in a different way..like crating or something. Good luck.

to "train " a dog you must "do" the SAME things every day forever. not just once in a while... so make up commands you want , start showing to the dog and repeat a million times..

you have to spend time with your dog and be sure to do the same command signals everyday. i suggest you work on like "sit" do that everyday until your dog has learned it on command without you touching it. to train how to sit
you do your hand signal while saying sit
then you if he doesn't you press on his butt tail area
and say sit as your doing this.

time and Patience
i wish you good luck just don't yell at your dog !!

try looking up a dog trainer in your area; make sure they do private lessons it may be more expensive and alot of devotion but they can usually help you with your dog specially
