Because some things are too IMPORTANT to try a second time. Why date someone again who's already proven to be a loser?

What was the reason for the break up? There was a reason she ended the relationship. There could be a number of things that will keep her from giving a second chance. Trust could be a big thing. Trust is earned.
Another thing you should ask yourself is whether you really actually deserve the second chance.

Well that's not totally true. If a man have hurt this person deeply then no! But if it was someihting minor then yeah. So the question is what did to do to make her not give you a second chance!

i gave my ex a million chances and he did the same for me. to this day we are still completely in love. however it got to a point where we hated each other but could not avoid each other. this is why we see other people and are now roomates. so i'd say it depends on the person, the amount of love involved, and the reason for the breakup.

Well depending on what happened, they've realized that it didn't work out for a reason. Sometimes it takes a little bit to recover from a break up. Some girls need time to be single or to try new things.

I have actually have (on occasion) given a man a second chance, sometimes even a third chance, and guess what . . . he still blew it and received no more chances . . .not with me.
When a man is given another chance...he needs to be responsible of the value and responsibility of that other chance(s) given him. If not . . . he's gone.
