Theres a guy at my college that I met last year. He had a girlfriend, which didn't mean anything to me because I wasn't attracted to him. This year, he has been talking to me alot lately which is cool. He broke up with his girlfriend and I have the feeling that he wants to be more than friends at some point. I'm not attracted to him. I'm not going to lie, looks aren't that important, but there has to be something that I find attractive physically. Call me whatever, thats just how it is with me. But the problem is that he always wants me to go over and party with him. I don't know any of his friends and I don't want to be stranded at his house if I'm drunk. Plus he smokes pot which I will never in my life do. I just don't want to be around it. I find it disgusting. So, my problem is, when he asks me to hang out and party, what do I tell him without losing him as a friend? I don't want to hurt his feelings.

Tell him you'd feel stranded at the party like you said, and suggest an alternative. Let him know where you're comfortable being around him.

Unless he's really into you, he'll eventually give up on dating you.

Tell him how you feel. Tell him that you wouldnt feel comfortable at that party because of this and that and for that reason you dont want to go. Also tell him that its nothing personal.

trust me, I am a guy. and if yourn ot interested in him at all, dont hang out with him in that kind of environment. If you go its just going to lead him to think he may have a chance... Just politely reject him a few times, he will probably eventually get the picture.
