We all know the members of the 'nuclear club'. And we know that several countries are seeking to become nuclear powers. What are the chances of a one or more countries using thier nuclear weapons in the future. When and where will this happen?

To some extent the more members in the club, the more chance of nuclear engagement. However, the fact that it hasn't happened in the last (almost) 60 years - when there were plenty of opportunities to 'let one off to show them who's boss' - might show that humans aren't as stupid as we look!
The larger the club, the greater the consequences and counter-reactions.....

It won't happen on purpose.......

But nuclear weapons are demoniac; major nuclear war is probable, if not yet inevitable. I am no prophet or seer, but can't you see a few major cities getting wiped out? New York, Tokyo or some such place. And a few little countries like Iran and China or India?
Seriously I don't see Armageddon as of yet, for humankind at the present moment is not in the darkness of oblivion. But nuclear weapons are demonic, and are built for the purpose of destroying the earth. As John F. Kennedy said, either we put an end to nuclear weapons or they will put an end to us.

Very Very Very likely. There are officials in the US government that have been talking about the need for a nuclear strike on Iran's underground facilities. Russia and China are aligned with Iran...they all played coordinated "war games" last summer.

I seriously doubt we will make it through 2007 without a nuclear war.

I believe it is very likely. Especially if governments with strong beliefs that override logic (ie. Iran) acquire them. Iran's first act as a nuclear power would be to rid the world of Israel. Coincidentally, Israel has had nukes for a number of years. I doubt they would "take one on the chin" as they did in the first gulf war with the scuds.

Iran gets my vote for 'most likely to nuke'. I'll give them three years to develop a viable weapon and delivery system. After that, it'll just be a matter of when.

I would have to say that its not a definite on happening but its not to be ruled out either. Countries can get angry at one another over small things or an assaniation attempt like WW1. I would bet on saying that it will happen in the future and im sure America will be in it, no offense i am American. People do not like Iraq and that may cause conflict as well.
