Hey Mrs. Knositall,
What's more Barbaric? Boxing or Pride fighting? Boxing or UFC? Boxing or K1? Boxing or a school fight? And you know what?.....all of which are entertaining to more than you think.
You are in the minority...Boxing has been around since the 1800's. Get used to it....geesh.

That just proves that you really know nothing about the sport. Boxing is more than just men (and women!) beating each other to a pulp. Boxing is about skill, will, heart, and discipline. And a lot of men (and women!) feed their families because of boxing. Should we ban Football? That's a rough sport too. 200 to 300lb men crashing into each other at break neck speed and risking life and limb on every play, yet the Superbowl is the most watched sporting event in the country. If you don't like boxing, that's your right, but there are a lot of us that do. And trust me, it will never be banned. Hey, let's also ban driving, and going to the zoo and seeing wild animals. Let's ban anything with an element of danger. Hey buddy, everyday life is dangerous. You need to get one of those lives and leave boxing alone.

No, boxing wont be banned so don't get your hopes up. Boxing is considered the ultimate competition. You and him, toe to toe, do it. It embodies everything that is competion. And it is the greatest test of will. That said, boxing was one of the most popular sports in the world, when the atheletes were people we cared about, either loved or hated them. Now no one cares because its all about money like everything else.

As long as the government gets it's cut,as long as companys make money on endorsements, equipment, television, and every thing else, forget it
What I find funny is the fighters themselves praising God for giving them the strenght to beat the hell out of another fighter,I can just see the almighty thinking, it's this guy's turn to get knock out unconscious

I enjoy watching a boxing match. I don't particularly care to see someone getting hurt that is what the referee is in there to prevent. I enjoy the sweet science of boxing.

The sweet science has been part of cultured society for centuries. It will not go away. If you don't like it don't watch it.
