at the start, are you making plans young little ones? Assuming you're a chick a minimum of (that would not sound like an concept a guy could think of of, if sure then don't get it or it will appear as if crap when you have preggers (stretched out and such). Secondly, in case you reside interior the US it somewhat is unlawful so which you would be able to be tattoo professionally, some states enable sixteen with parental consent yet maximum do not enable parental consent in any respect, i've got even been listening to that some states are elevating the age to 21 (unsure how authentic it somewhat is, basically a rumor it somewhat is been going around). to not point out, in all easily, via time you're sufficiently previous to legally get tattooed you will likely want something else besides and in case you do not a minimum of then you definately'll comprehend it is not something you will experience sorry approximately. (sturdy issues come to those who wait).

Legally? No! A reputable tattoo artist will not tattoo anyone under 18! and i personally think you should wait because at 15 you have one mind set then it will change at least 3 times before your 20! and you'll have that tattoo from a time in your life where you might feel your immature! SO just wait and see how you feel at 18 and do it the right way!

Any self respecting tattoo artist would not do it no matter if your idiot father signed for it or not! What kind of parent would let there child do this?

You are too young, your tastes will change, tattoo's are not for children who think it would be "awesome"...and for someone who "kinda" wants a couple. Wait 3 years find a REPUTABLE tattoo artist and then get one.

Michigan Tattoo Laws

Tattoo Parlors (Refs & Annos)
333.13102. Tattooing, branding, or body-piercing of minors, written informed consent of parent or legal guardian; persons under the influence of intoxicating liquor or controlled substances

Sec. 13102. (1) An individual shall not tattoo, brand, or perform body-piercing on a minor unless the individual obtains the prior written informed consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian. The minor's parent or legal guardian shall execute the written, informed consent required under this subsection in the presence of the individual performing the tattooing, branding, or body-piercing on the minor or in the presence of an employee or agent of that individual. For purposes of this section, "minor" does not include a minor who is emancipated pursuant to section 4 of Act No. 293 of the Public Acts of 1968, being section 722.4 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.

(2) An individual shall not tattoo, brand, or perform body-piercing on another individual if the other individual is under the influence of intoxicating liquor or a controlled substance.

No you can't get a tattoo if you are under the age of 18. I don't think that they have consent forms for you to get signed, probably because a lot of people will forge them but if your dad went with you that might work. You should think about it before doing it, tattoos are great and I have one (and addictive once you get one) but they are permanent so changing your mind after is going to be worthless. If it's something that you really want to do (and not because it's the "cool" thing to do) ask you dad to go with you to a tattoo parlor and see if they'll do that. Good luck!

Most states don't even allow a parents signature for someone under 18 on tats. Sorry. Get a Henna or something that lasts a few weeks like that and you don't have to worry about it being there forever if you end up not liking it. Have your dad check the state laws or call several licensed parlours to see if they do and if you get the same answer it should be correct.

You can if your dad comes with you and signs the permission slip. Don't want to sound like a nana but really think hard about what you would get and think about the future eg. employment problems with tattoos, will it still be what you want in 50 yrs? I was dead keen on one when I was 15 too. Mum said she would sign but I couldn't make up my mind. For the next ten years I still really wanted one and never got round to it. One day I suddenly realised I was so glad I never got one. They can look great but please consider the tattoo and the placement very carefully.

a lot of good places require a person to fill out a paper with age and date and stuff. If your dad says go for it and he will help if he needs to ask around see what people say about where to go. I have two and I would only go back to the place I got them in the 1st place and I did have to sign something but it also had a place for the adult to sign if I wasn't it.

The 1st thing you should do before you get one is think long and hard if you really want one. They are for life! The way you should think of it is like the color of your room. Have you ever gotten tired of the color of your room? Or a style of clothes? Whatever you decide to tattoo your body with it is with you for life no I don't like this anymore stuff.
And no you're father has to be there to give consent, in most states they wont except a letter.

don't get any tattoos until you are older. the legal age is prob 18 regardless. There is 99.7% chance that if you get a tattoo at age 15 you will detest it by age 21.... at age 18 the % lowers drastically.

At age 16 you can get one as long as you have parental signature. They have to stay the entire time as well. But it depends on the tattoo artist. I would go to some places around your home and ask what is the youngest age they tattoo.
