It means Post Script, and is usually used as an after thought to the completed letter. This is not a stupid question. Happy New Year!

why do so many people feel the need to answer this question when everyone is saying the same thing and theyre all right? Do they think they can answer it better? ha........ they're all right, by the way,
PS means post script, and the running joke is when you get a email that has a p.s, then the author remembers something else so thay have a pps (which means post post script) and then if they get really ridiculous you can have a ppps (post post post script!).

Post Script...you can look things up on dictionary.com
postscript------>
1. a paragraph, phrase, etc., added to a letter that has already been concluded and signed by the writer.
2. any addition or supplement, as one appended by a writer to a book to supply further information.
~ happy new year!

Post script. Afterword. In addition to the above. I was too scatterbrained to put this in the body of my letter, but I just forgot to mention that . . .

Post script. That is when you can add something you missed when writing your letter and after signing it or farewell.
