Childrens burns, even when they seem minor, can get really bad infections. I would go to the doctor and have him look at it and get some medicine for it. If it blisters be sure not to let the child pop the blister so the skin heals underneath. You can always check sites like webmd for some ointments that might help.

Like others said run it under cold water. BUT you have to be careful with ice because freezing it can cause more damage. I had a severe burn on my hand not too long ago and icing it made it feel better but caused more damage to the surrounding areas. So if you use ice just don't leave it on there too long at any given time. Also put some antibiotic ointment on it (neosporin etc) It helps it heal but also makes it feel better. If your child's burn is severe make sure you get them to a dr.

Depends on how bad of a burn - if s/he only touched it for a second - cold water and possibly some ice wrapped up in a towel. Never use butter or any ointments. If there are any blisters of any kind I would call the doc asap and see if they want you to go to ER or wait til morning.

Good God, if your child is suffering from a burn you need to ask your doctor, not a bunch of strangers here. We have no clue how severe that burn is.

Use cool water or ice in a towel. You might also try Motrin...after all, it is for pain. Please, do not put any cream on it as this holds in the "heat" from the burn and if the skin is not open, there no risk of infection. If he is blistering, and the skin is open, take him to the Dr. first thing tomorrow.

If it's just a minor burnt hen jsut put Burts Bees res q ointment on it. That stuff works wonders. DO NOT put anything cold on it! That damages the skin underneath. IF you are still concerned then call the doc & see if you need to come in. Also tylenol to help with the pain.
