I'm guessing that you are pretty young so you may not believe it, but this too shall pass in time ... in a few weeks you'll probbly find someone else who has the same qualities you like about this guy and even more.

The mind is a powerful thing and if you really want to stop thinking about him, you can do it. Telling yourself not to think about him will have the opposite effect ... if I told you not to think of pink elephants, that would be the first thing that you start thing of. You've got it right when friends come first and telling him how you feel or getting in the middle of their relationship is going to put a wedge in your friendship and this girl may not be friends with you any longer. Ask yourself if that is really worth it? Guys will come and go - for both of you. In the meantime, busy yourself with other activities, interests and friends and dating prospects and don't think about pink elephants!

Well, this is a problem
I think the best thing to do is ride the feeling out, don't think much of it, but don't ignore it. Keep an open mind and hopefully you will get bored and move on. I doubt you r in love, it is almost impossible to truly love some1 if u don't know them.
But if u really like this guy and ur friend then you will want what makes them happy. And as long as he is happy you really should be too.
Remeber, there are other guys. He may not be the one for you.

Well I have quite the story for you then!

Well I was dating this guy, and I started having feelings for his best friend

yikes I know

Now ALTHOUGH, I did not break up with my bf for THAT reason I was planning on breaking up with him before that anyway

He was being a prick the night i broke up with him anyway

well his best friend told me he had a crush on me the entire time i was dating his friend and since i liked him back

i went for it
we've been happily together for a long time

however, he did lose his best friend however its a much deeper story but in a nutshell my ex (his friend) was crazy psycho anyway...

and he was just crazy

so you know what think of it this way
when you DIE one day

who are you laying next to

your best friend

or your lover?

Love comes first always.

Its true, friends come first.

I reckon there are far more men out there, no point in ruining a friendship for a relationship that doesnt exist.

Maybe you should avoid this friendship to make yourself feel better. Afterall, you would want someone you love be happy...

Let go... Move on... I know its easier said than done, but then you can make it... :)

I'll help you with that if your a real friend you'll just stop because friends are friends but true friends never come and a guy is a guy and you can find a guy a good one that is in time . be a good friend. forget the guy.

You will do what you will do that is the way it works.

You risk losing both your friend and the guy if you go forward with your feelings, that is the way it usually works too.

What you need to do is to find a distraction that prevents you from going forward with this infatuation.

What you do, is your decision. I hope you make the healthier one for you.

That is just something that you need to realize is a lost cause. Accept it. Besides, soon your friend will tell you all of his bad habits and downfalls and you will be glad you kept your friend instead of losing both the guy and the friend.

Give it up, because even if they break up, she would probably not approve if you got with him. It all depends on how good of a friendship you 2 have. It really sounds to me that you want him because she has him. Classic younger women. Once you got him, the challenge and thrill would be gone for you and you'd probably be bored.

The more you keep telling yourself you like him, the more you will like him. You need to get out there and realise there are other good guys around........be happy that your friend already has one and don't make the mistake of taking that away from her.

imagine how you would feel if the situation was the other way around and if you still feel the same and want to pursue this guy despite your friends feelings then accept the fact that you're selfish and don't mind karma at all.
