Any piercing will hurt a little bit at least. The skin will be tender and even if it's not the action of the actual piercing it might hurt a bit at the touch for a day or so. I've had mine done and it didn't really hurt other than the needle got stuck a little at the very end and the tenderness.

It really depends on the person and their threshold of pain. Some feel nothing and some cry like little babies. Now I know that if there is cartilage in the areas where you want pierced, it hurts much more than just your ear lobes (got my upper ear pierced in the past). Now I've also witnessed a girl start bleeding like crazy when she got her nose pierced too. How's your pain level? That'll determine how much pain you'll have but the after affects of it always hurt much more than the actual piercing.

I am going to be 56 years old in June, and I had mine done about 5 years ago. It brought tears to my eyes having it done, and later it swelled a little, and felt like someone had punched me in the nose. That was the first day. After that is wasn't bad at all. I wore a stud for over a year and a half, and now I don't have to wear one all the time. If you do get one though, be careful pulling off your clothes over your face and towel drying your face as the studs will and can get caught in your clothes or towels, and it hurts when they get yanked out. Not as bad as the piercing does though, but bad enough.

Okay, everyone answered "according to your nose and tolerance for pain" That's not answering you at all. Do this, pluck a hair from the INSIDE of your nose. It will sting, and your eyes will water. If you can handle that, you can handle the piercing. It feels exactly the same. Half the people who answered you don't even have it done, they are talking from NO EXPERIENCE.

We used to pierce the nose of bulls with a ring when I was growing up on a farm. It didn't appear to hurt the bull, but it made it made as hell.

uhh okay well it depends on how much pain a person can take, but since i used to have a nose piercing I can honestly say it did not hurt, at all. all you hear is a pop and its through.

the pain is all relative to your tolerance.

The only piercing that hurt was through cartilage-

The nose piecing will make you tear up- because it's going through a lot of layers- but like I said it's all relative to your pain tolerance level

I just got it done on thursday the 28th, and im only 15
it didnt hurt
it hit a tear duct
so it felt funny
and it makes your eyes water
it feels funny when the piercer is taking the needle out and putting the ring in though

Mine didn't when I had mine done. I just felt the pressure of the puncture, but during the clean-up and insertion of the nose ring it did sting some.
