Question

I'm 19 and dating a 47 year old boy

My cousin is 18 and dating a 26 year old man.

I think it's disgusting.

Because at age 18 she's still a teenager and at 19 I'm almost 20 so it's not as gross.

AND DOESNT A 26 YEAR OLD HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO THAN DATE A 18 YEAROLD

Just think of it this way... the 47 year old could be your father and an 18 year old dating a 26 year old is like a college freshman dating a grad student. At 19, anyway you look at it, you are still a teenager too.

I'm not going to say that such a huge age difference is bad but you have no right to be critical of your cousin

You ARE being a hypocrite. How is it that you being a year older entitles you to date someone who could be your father, yet your cousin can't date someone eight years older? That is more normal than your relationship. I'm sure your parents don't approve, if they even know about it.

Honestly, relationship wise , your cousin stands a better chance than you. It has nothing to do with grossness but reality.

At 29 I had an 18 year old girlfriend and I did marry her.

A 28 year difference even if it lasted , would only bring you heart ache.


You just can't live in the now. In 20 years you'll be 39. That was a wonderful age for me. Full of life and I was in the best shape of my life.

When you are 39 your boy friend will be 67, if he is still alive. Not the right path. Please think about it

Absolutely. With all due respect, 18 is not much different than 19 in terms of maturity, or even 20 for that matter. The bigger question is doesn't a man of 47 hve anything better to do than to date a woman young enough to be his daughter?

what gives you the right to judge anybody.you live your life and be happy.at least the age difference is 18-26.instead of 19-47.of course age don't matter,but why judge the 18 year old .your not as bright as you want us to believe.
if she's 18 and your 19,guess that makes you a teenager as well.

Yes and stupid too (you are almost not a teenager, but it still wouldn't make any difference). A 47 year old is not a boy while a 26 year old could be considered a young man. You are scary.

18 and 19 year olds are on pretty much the same level, honey. 19 (nineTEEN) is still a teenager.

You are a teenager dating someone 28 years older than you.
She is a teenager dating someone 8 years older than her.

You and your cousin are only one year apart...You and your BF are 28 years apart. Your cousin and her BF are 8 years apart...

You may not mean to be, but you are sounding hypocritical. Also...beware of approaching your cousin...it could totally ruin your relationship if you're not careful...

And, although 28 difference is pushing it, my neighbor married a man who was 17 years younger than she was, years ago...when that was COMPLETELY unheard of.

I think you should step back and look at this situation. Your guy is more than twice as old as you. What could you two possibly have in common As far as your cousin, she needs to date someone a little younger also
