Did you put the battery in the right way?

Make sure that you have the batteries in correctly. Make sure they are charged. Make sure you have it turned on. Make sure it is a digital and does not take film. (I an sorry, but you just do not give any useful info here.) Does it have a lens cap? DO you have the owners manual? Read it.

first of all welcome to our world. make sure that you have connected the memory card. make sure that batteries are connected properly and are charged. make sure that the lens is held at its porition and also check whether you have presed the rigth button and still if problem is not resolved please read the owners manual and consult a proffesional.

take the lens cap off or if it doesn't have the lens cap on it.. and you still cannot take it back and get another.
