I believe the oldest one in history is 35. most cats live from 10-15 years of age. sometimes up to 20-25 years old. It all depends if the cat has previous health issues, and the kind of care the cat is getting.

Today a well-cared for house cat will probably live 14-16 years, although 18 or even 20 isn't all that unusual. The world record is 34, but that's very unusual.

Depends on a lot of things, I think. Outdoor cats generally have a shorter lifespan than indoor cats. My oldest lived to be 23 and was really in good shape up until about a week before she died but she was a mostly indoor cat.

it continually relies upon. no rely if it is an indoor cat with out any important well being issues and is fed properly and all of that, it is going to stay around 12-15 years. now and lower back it is much less, in spite of the undeniable fact that it is uncomplicated to be extra. certainly one of my cats have been given maximum cancers at 15 and died a quick time later. yet another certainly one of my cats particularly plenty in uncomplicated terms died from previous age because of the fact she grew to become into 18! on occasion, cats do stay over 20, like my mom's cat while she grew to become into youthful.

outdoor only farm cats - average 1 year - many die or are killed as kittens
indoor/outdoor house cats - average 2 years
indoor only house cat - average 12 - 15 years.. although some live longer depending on breed and care
spayed or neutered cats tend to out live cats who were not fixed
shelters euthanize 2 million cats/kittens a year... simply becuase more are born than there are homes for
