Yeah...........you should make it legal. I wouldn't mess with a woman that is not legally divorced.

I am separated myself and I know that divorces can sometimes take time to work themselves out so maybe I am a little bit more understanding.
I would date a woman who is recently separated.
If she was ready to take that step, and not everyone is, then what is the harm.
He might be a little cautious if you felt that the date went well.
but personally, if I was truly interested I would just throw caution to the wind and see where it might take me. I would ask for a second date.

Well it all depends on when you fell out of love with your soon to be ex. Some people are leary of dating you if you aren't divorced yet however what most people don't know is that divorces can be nasty and take a while to get the other party to follow thru on it, esp. if you don't have the finances to push it through. Jsut be patient and get your ducks in row. I waited two years and now my ex is finally agreeing to the divorce. Good luck ^_^

Could be. My ex ran into the same thing. I know because we were seperated for over a year. She would drag it out and drag it out. Then she started seeing some guy. One day she called, was angry, and wondered why it was taking so long. I told her to sign the papers, and why the sudden hurry. I didn't find out about the other guy until later. Someone asked me if it bothered me. I told them I was happy. Not for her, but that something finally lit that fire and made my freedom official.
So either he is being cautious, or things didn't feel the same on the date for him.

Honestly, most men (good men) wouldn't date you until you're actually divorced.
You might want to think about waiting until you're divorced before you start dating, by the way.

For most guys it doesn't matter as long as the date went well to begin with. So his issue could be unrelated.

maybe it went really well only for you. I have no problem with free women. perhaps he hoped you would be desperate and easy pickings? be strong and stay proud, you are worth it. dont give in too easily to find new relationships.
