your first step is to want out! you have to be willing to accept help, then follow through with it. It will be very hard, take it one day at a time, then one week at a time. Lean on your closest friends for support, and then step forward and you will make it out of it fine! Search your soul for the reasons, then confront them, no matter what, you're friends love you.

Admitting that you need help is always the first step. You need to let the people close to you know that you have a problem and that you want to get better.
Look for specialists (try the phonebook) on eating disorders. A good therapist who can help you understand what causes bulimia can also help.
Overeaters Anonymous accepts recovering bulimics as well, if I'm not mistaken.

Hi Ash
Here are some ideas to use (obviously the diet is the key, be sure to drink a gallon of water a day to help remove toxins and helps the body in general).
Cause
Nutrient deficiencies (especially zinc), food allergies, and amino acid imbalances can all result from or contribute to bulimia, and therefore should be screened for. In addition, although in both anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, the underlying causative factors are commonly believed to be solely due to an obsession with body fat, a fear of being (or becoming) fat, or over-concern with perfectionism and are indeed important.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Natural Cures
Diet: A whole organic foods diet with regular eating patterns is very important. Also avoid all products containing sugar and white flour, and be sure to obtain sufficient protein sources to adequately nourish the body.
Flower Essences: Various essences can be useful for addressing the underlying emotional and mental states of imbalance and negativity such as fears, perfectionism, manipulative behavior, depression, and anxiety. Crab Apple is particularly useful for coping with obsessive habits relating to body image.
Homeopathy: Calc carb., Ipecac., and Graphites are useful remedies for bulimia.
Nutritional Supplementation: Liquid ionic multi-mineral complex and multivitamin complex supplements can help overcome the extreme vitamin and mineral deficiencies associated with binge and purge eating and overuse of laxatives. Complex amino acids can also assist in balancing blood sugar levels, which helps reduce food cravings.
Alternative Professional Care
If your symptoms persist despite the above measures, seek the help of a qualified health professional. The following professional care therapies have all been shown to be useful for treating and relieving the symptoms of bulimia: Biofeedback Training, Hypnotherapy, Light Therapy, Naturopathic Medicine, Qigong, and Traditional Chinese Medicine
Best of health to you

You will hear ALL kinds of responses but THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO. OA is where the people are who have escaped the very thing you want out of. ALL the other private or medical entities are trying to cash in on the market, the market being people despaerate for a release from eating disorders and addictions... IF YOU DONT GO TO OA YOU CAN DIE:

Eat something and don't throw it up next time. Realize how much better you'll look just by being healthy. Weight isn't everything. Crackheads are skinny but that doesn't make them the most attractive people in the world, you understand what I'm sayin. GOOD LUCK PUMPKIN
