I like this guy but all my friends hate him and i mean hes not the most popular person in school but i like him and my friends constantly talk about how horrible he is so how am i supposed to tell them i like him?????????

Do your friends only like popular people or is there something about this guy that is really bad? If it is just the popularity they are concerned with, I would tell them that I like him and would for them to give him a chance. If they can't do that, you don't need them as friends. Why do you care what your friends say, you are the one that likes him and wants to be around him, not them.

Tell them that you would appreciate it if they quit putting him down. Further tell them that you got a chance to talk to him and he does seem like a nice person and that you are going to try to explore things between the two of you and if they cant give support, you would appreicate it if they did not give negative comments.
If they are your friends they will support your wishes (or at least talk about both of you behind your backs)
Kudos for you making up your own mind about this person. He is lucky to have someone like you showing an interest in him!

Well if you ahven't then you need to learn that 'NO ONE', not even your friends should matter when it comes to your choices in life.
Sure, it's sometimes good to get a friends oppinion about something, but that's all it is, an oppinion.
Your actions are based on what 'YOU' decide, and how 'YOU' feel about someone or something.
If your friends don't like this guy, but you do, then it's really none of their business.
Or are you girls like so many these days, and let each other boss
you around, telling you what you can or cannot do etc.
I see this all the time and it disgusts me how young people try to control each other.
If you like him, tell him, and tell your friends too.
If they get mad at you for choosing to like this guy, then they really arn't your friends.
Friends stick together no matter what!!

You need to think about why your friends hate him. Is he a bad person or just not like them? There is nothing wrong with someone who is different but you should watch out if they actually have legitimate reasons for disliking him so much.

be straightforward, tell your friends that you really don't care how they feel about him. Their not the ones in your shoes. What you need to do is tell him that you like him, and go on with your life. If your friends don't understand what you mean, they must not be good friends at all.

well first off if most of those qualities are true then you shouldnt go after a guy like that BUT if you truely like this guy and pursue him and start something tell your friends and if they bag on him then they arent really good friends...

Just tell them like you told us....no problem. It is none of their business whether you like him or not. If he is as bad as they say, believe me you will soon find that out.

if hes a good person then just say
hey u know wat i like him .
if they start talking ****, just say if he makes me happy you guys should be happy for me, if they are not , then they are not ur true friends.
