Meow & Fairygoth... gave you the right answer!
Ah (as "a"ffect) - Sa (as "Sa"liva) - He (as "he" is a man)
Beer is - B - Ru (as "Lu" cy)
Asahi in Japanese means "morning sun".
PS. Karaoke should be read as
Ka - (as Car) - la - (as "La"rry) - all - (as "o"riental) - ke (as "ke"lly)
"kara" in Japanese means "empty" while "oke" is the short form of "orche"stra, the whole word "karaoke" refers the "machine" that sounds like an orchestra but there isn't anyone playing musical instrument

ah sah hee
Edit:
Japanese only has a 5 vowel system, like spanish, except for the vowel "u" is different. so it doesn't have the /ae/ (the vowel in the word "cat" or "as") or the vowel in the word "saw" or "caught" (if you have a difference between the vowels "cot" and "caught").
