My word program isn't working, I am looking for a safe registry cleaner. help?

I re-installed microsoft office and it didn't help. The other office applications are working. I am asking if a registry cleaner program will help and want to find a trustworthy one.

Drop MS-Word and go to http://www.openoffice.org/ it is free, and it is way less buggy than all microsoft programs. That and the support is way better too.
