Two days ago i dyed my hair a redish brown with an inperminent hair dye (it fades after 30 washes), however it is much closer to my actual hair color than i thought it would be. Today it i bought a PERMANENT hair color kit that comes with hightlights. I am very impatient and want to dye my hair as soon as possible with the new stuff,my mother is worried that there will be some chemical reaction and might not turn out the way i want since i JUST colored it. Should i wait?

Depends on what color the dye is. You should be ok, but it'd be in your best intrest to call a stylist and just tell her the tones of the 2 colors and they will be able to tell you if there is an adverse reaction to mixing them.
I would wait about 1 week even if they say its ok to keep from stripping too many natural oils out of your hair =)
