Ok I am 15, I have been drinking like a beer a day, for the past couple of months, nothing big. But latly I have been drinking harder stuff like Vodka and Gin. I have started to crave it lately. A little bit more everyday for the past few weeks. Now I am drinking like 2 botttles of beers and like a bottle of something else.
Could I have a problem?

Considering you shouldn't be drinking at 15 because it is against the law...and you are taking a chance...yes you can havea problem.

This doesn't prove it. If you HAVE to drink every day and get drunk all the time....you more likely have a drinking problem.

Could you have one at age 15? Yes.

Do I think you have one based on what you typed? Probably not.

Do I think you will have one if you continue to drink like this? Yes, I think you will have a drinking problem if you don't already in the near future if you continue drinking like this.

If you have to ask, that is a sign you have a drinking problem or are developing one. If you drink more than a couple drinks a day (depending on various factors), that is a sign you might have a drinking problem. Craving alcohol is a sign as well.

If your drinking isn't causing problems in your or anyone else's life (within reason, some few people go out of their way to make it a problem for them) then that is a sign you don't have a problem. If you can go without alcohol for a given time then that is a major sign that you don't have a problem.

I say you should test yourself. I suggest taking a die (a six sided one, they make many types) and having a friend roll it (or picking a small number, it doesn't matter how the number is acquired) and not telling it to you. Then have them mark that many weeks ahead on the calender and still not tell you the date picked in this manner. Then you have to not drink until that date, but make sure that they can keep in touch with you. This will determine if you can avoid drinking for a fairly short period of time without having knowledge of the end date, so you don't just use the that as a goal.

I just thought of that so it probably has some problems with it, but really you should just test yourself in some way, that was just an idea.

A little craving is normal for some, but if you intensely crave it, you might have a problem.

That is NOT a drinking problem. I love champagne and im 15 too, I dont love beer but I like beer. It isnt a unhealthy lifestyle if you do it 3-4 times a month. I know people of our age that drinks alot, smokes etc. DW it isnt unhealthy.

If you are continually craving it and get depressed or angry because you don't have a drink; then you might have a problem. It can't hurt to check it out. If you are afraid to talk to your parents, then try talking to a guidance counselor or a friend's parent. Even if your problem is small; it could snowball into something larger. A close friend of mine passed away last year at the age of 35 due to alcoholism, so if you feel you might have a problem get it checked out. I hope this helped you a little bit.

well, first of all...drinks cost $$...so you're investing in something thats not even healthy for you...
second you're drinkning before even being atleast 18...-should be 21... and third, you are craving it...thats not a good sign. Can you try to go without drinking for a week? As yourself..."Why am I drinking?" do you like the buzz? does it make you feel better about something? (temporarily)...maybe you're self medicating and should be seeing a counselor instead? Maybe you can be prescribed med's that can make you feel better about something that you may be having trouble dealing with>?...look into it. I dont think you should be drinking that much... and i should take my own advice too.

Yes drinking everyday denotes the start of a problem. Cravings are a sign of a more serious problem.

If you feel you must question whether or not you have a problem, then you probably have a problem.

If you deal with the reason you feel you need to drink (to be more outgoing, deal with anxiety, etc) you will find the drinking problem will probably go away by itself. See a counselor.

Drinking alcohol at the age of 15... No. You cannot have alcohol now because it may damage your important organs like liver.. pancreas etc. Better try to avoid at this age. Best of Luck
