Honor seems like a rarity these days. To me, honor just means to have the integrity to be honest to the person you are dating (whether it's about your financial situation, if you are dating someone else, etc.).

Chivalry to me means being polite, opening doors, walking you to your car, etc. I think this is still pretty common in the dating world because people always want to put their best foot forward and impress the person they're dating (which also may be why people lack integrity at times).

Life is always a double edge sword. Getting both blades sharp is a challenge. If you are chivalrous it is amazing the number of women who just act like you are being nerdy or needy. Obviously, this is a very clear indicator in the quality of our women. Add in the fixation with the booty and the shaking the big butts as if that is cool. The feminists and the idea of a woman appreciating class she will never know or have is for the few. Then the men. Wow. They want pure deceit and act like they are being honest and trying the car before we buy it. Not even a half truth there. Just pure deceit for sex and when one feels right and is hot an enough they will accept and of course it will be a failure. And hurt children. So. Values the thing we preach against and morals the thing we judge others on when they make a mistake...as if the fact that they are moral means they are perfect...comes to mind. Respect is given not earned. Trust may be earned. So I am looking for a job now and the person doing the interview does not know the answer. So I have to answer wrong to get the job because they think they know??? That is the state of all this. Classless deceitful people who have become so wise they are fools instead of just accepting and respecting a person and being content and both trying their best. They are not unheard of. They are unknown and mixed in confusion with all this nonsense. Grace be with you.

If often appears to be. I found very few men who possessed either. Someone needs to raise the standard and I'm not sure if its the men or the women. Too many men still are carrying over their grandfathers idea of "..have fun with every female possible, till you want to marry." And too many females, including the very young are running around giving away all they have to offer, which is very little and something that won't last, which is their bodies. So honor and chivalry? The one man I found that showed both, became a commodity and I made sure and married him! LOL

It has been a long time since I've dated but it was still around a quarter century ago. Today I am not sure. Find a person who respects you first and honor and chivalry will follow.

honor for me is being up front about my actions and not hiding anything. chivalry is probly the same for most people- opening doors , pulling chairs, generally letting the woman go first. but also being the man- being proactive in the relationship. setting up the date so they don't have to etc. taking care of reservations that kind of thing. most women take this for granted though after a while and try to run all over me and have rediculous expectations about the relationship. when i find the right one who appreciates this behaviour that'll be the one i settle down w/. good luck and God bless, ben

I'm not sure about honor, but I sure hope chivalry isn't dead. To me, chivalry means holding open doors, pulling out chairs and being gracious to women.

if you want honor and chivalry, assuming you are a woman, date an older man...young men today have been so browbeaten by the feminist movement that they have no sense of how to treat a lady...we older gents understand that chivalry does not demean women but elevates them, and that showing a little respect doesn't diminish one's stature and may actually increase one's chances of getting closer..

I'm hoping it is. I loathe chivalry. It should all go back to medieval times where it belongs.
