I know it has to be premium clumping, but any suggestions on brands?

My favorite brand of litter is "feline pine". The old version is chunky, BUT there is a new version of it that starts as a fine dust and forms clumps. It reallly is the best clumping cat litter I've tried. NONE of the clumps fall apart when the littermaid does its scooping!

As for the pine stuff sticking to their feet, I had more problems with this from Fresh Step and other clay litters.

The only problem with this new version of the Feline Pine is I can't find it at the same places I find the pellet version and its not widely available. You'll have to call around.

Fresh Step definitly works best for a Littermaid and it erases the odor completly.

I'd say the Fresh Step. But i don't think it matters as to which. Just try and find which you and your kitty's like best. Can also read the instructions if they have any suggestions on them from the litter box.

I know people who swear by Tidy Cat and Arm & Hammer, but they're fairly expensive, so I personally use Fresh Step--it's about $5-6 cheaper a bag, and works just as well.

The pine stuff sticks to their feet and they track it all over.

call the company... if they are not helpful, unplug it and shake it maybe that will help. if you still have the receipt take it back to the store and exchange it good luck
