A few weeks ago I downloaded and installed Internet Explorer 7, I think it was IE7 optimized for Yahoo. Anyway I ran it for a few days or maybe a week. I didn't like it and uninstalled it and my computer rolled back to my old IE6.whatever. A couple of weeks later I downloaded and installed IE7 again. Same kind I think, optimized for Yahoo. I don't know if there is anyother kind. Anyway, I don't like the way it runs. I get a lot of "Internet Explorer can't find the page" messages and have to click refresh, or if that doesn't help, go back and try again. I tried removing it again through my Control Panel, Add Remove Programs. It wont uninstall because there is a program that is part of it that the uninstall wizard can't find, so it can't create a back up, and thus wont let me uninstall it. I also can't download and install IE6 because during the installition process when it recognizes that I have IE7 it stops and tells me that it can't proceed. What can I do? How can I get IE7 out?

Try booting into safe mode and uninstalling it. You can either get to safe mode by going to Start > Run and typing msconfig in the box and then going to the BOOT.INI tab and select /SAFEBOOT from the options or pressing F8 as your PC starts up will get you to safemode as well. Once in safe mode try to uninstall IE7. If that doesn't work, you might try system restore but there are no promises on that either.
And yes, there is another version of IE7, Yahoo! flogs there version a lot but I don't like how it says IE7 provided by Yahoo or something like that. I don't use any version of IE at all though I have version 7 installed, that is mostly for the security updates it provides.
Most of the time I use Opera or Firefox.

A sort of last ditch attempt:
Assuming a windows based operating system, reload the operating system from CD, after disk cleanup and disk defragmentation.
Include browser installation and remove every application that came with the operating system if prompted by the query from the CD installation.
It will not affect other applications that are non-microsoft and recently purchased software within the last year or so:
Windows typically picks up the old applications, except manually launched applications through DOS and softwares released to the market more than a year to three years ago.

try booting into secure mode and uninstalling it. you may the two get to secure mode via going to start > Run and typing msconfig interior the field and then going to the BOOT.INI tab and choose /SAFEBOOT from the recommendations or pressing F8 as your laptop starts off up gets you to safemode besides. as quickly as in secure mode attempt to uninstall IE7. If that would not artwork, you would be able to attempt equipment fix yet there are actually not any can provide on that the two. And sure, there is yet another version of IE7, Yahoo! flogs there version lots yet i do unlike the way it says IE7 offered via Yahoo or something like that. i don't use any version of IE in any respect inspite of the shown fact that I even have version 7 put in, it somewhat is oftentimes for the secure practices updates it may provide. many of the time i exploit Opera or Firefox.

Use your system restore and go back to a date before you installed IE 7. Your problem will be solved. IE 7 kind of sucks, anyway. You would be better off with Firefox or Opera for your browser.

it will start up as if it downloads ,like it were hidden when your browsing during a normal download. Don`t let it fool you . some pc systems as windows or mac will give info if your system is compatible. it says that only sp2xp or newer . welcome to the beast...... or go to windows for the upgrades on your current system to get there.
