I'm currently taking Lexapro, and it has done very well, i've been on it for around 5 months and it has delivered. I have never been on Zoloft but have known people that were, some said it worked, some did not. All you can really do is pick one and try it, if it doesn't work, choose the other one.
Anti-depressents are a trial and error process, you have to be patient.

I was on 200mg of Zoloft for over a year. It never did much for me, I stayed depressed, lost my sex drive and I eventually went off of it. It never did anything for my anxiety. I was off all meds for a few years and in July 2006 I hit the worst depression low of my life. I've been on 20mg of Lexapro for about 2 months and I'm now feeling MUCH better. So, Lexapro is better for me so far but many people say the opposite. I have a separate medication for the anxiety.

I am on Lexapro. It worked for the first few months. But a few months ago I told my doctor that it was not working anymore and they increased the dosage to 30mg and I still see no sign of it making me feel better, I am in the process of trying to get switched to zoloft.

i've got taken the two, and between the two, i could say Lexapro is extra helpful. i did not have any area consequences with Lexapro, it helped my melancholy, and it eased my stress. I gained weight on Zoloft and had abdomen issues. Plus it extremely basically did not help my melancholy that lots. yet each and each individual is going to respond in yet differently to different meds. desire this permits.

Lexapro isnt as strong of a drug as Zoloft. i took Zoloft for a couple weeks and i threw up every single day until i got off it. but it depends what you feel like when you take it. just don't take Paxil, it's horrible.

I honestly wouldn't know what to tell you. umm I used to be on Lexapro and it helped in the beginning but after a month or soo i got really really depressed again and they even doubled my dosage and it still didn't work. So i guess it depends on how depressed you are.

Everyone reacts differently. Neither medication worked very well for me. Instead, I'm on Cymbalta and find that works best. It all depends on our individual chemistry, so you have to try each medication until you find the right one or the right combination.

They are both good medicines but some work better than other for certain people. The best medicine is the one that works the best for YOU not what works best for someone else.
