Worship isn't supplication. That's worthless and based on ego and ignorance. Worship is simply attempting to become aware of the nature of God. The reason that is important is because all humans are actually connected to God. We are created beings and the essence of the creator is in us. Without the awareness of this, we are cut off from that aspect of ourselves. That diminishes us terribly.
Worship isn't about what is good for God. It's about what is good for us. Most people who are against worship, have an evil agenda. They know better but lie to you. They do this because, if you close off this part of yourself, you are easily controlled.
Simply put, people who truly engage in worship are unlikely to engage in evil. Those who don't, are easily manipulated toward this end.
That's why every totalitarian/marxist movement etc. first attempts to trick people out of their faith and then, later on, when they have more power, they use force to coerce people out of their faith. It's a necessary step toward their goals of slavery, poverty, control and genocide. Be VERY careful of anyone who tries to get you to give up your faith. Just look at what has happened in the past (what ALWAYS happens)......nazi germany, soviet union, china, vietnam, north korea, the list goes on and on. Hundreds of millions of people cruelly put to death by the people involved in this...the people who are anti-God.
Those same people are trying to do it here in the western world.

There is only 1 God and in the old testament his name is Jehovah! The only other 1 to worship is Satan. I would rather worship GOD!
