You can choose,(where I live anyway), we have to petition out of the school. Pretty common here just call the school and ask. My son doesn't go to the school that he is suppose to, I work out of town so he goes to school in the town that i work in not the town we live in.

Every parent wants the best for their kids, but what seems best for your child is not always best. No, you don't really get to choose where your child goes because you're set to distcrict boundaries. Even if you live near the school you might not have an opinion. Sometimes if you live near by your child might not be able to be bussed it. There is hope, you have two choices. EIther pay for your child's educaction and put him or her in a private school. Another for of a public/private school are charter schools. If you are lucky you can ask the school or disctric on more info. They give you a voucher and you're able to enroll your child in a public school that is a charter school. However, you might have to drive your child to the school and volunteer a certain amount of hours per month. Good luck and be persistant!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes you can choose a school but your child must meet the standards you should try for enrolment. Yes the are school boundaries or community boundaries where you child lives means that he has to go to that can go to that high school where he lives closest to, this is his/hers default high school.

This depends on your area. Most places will allow you to send your child to any public school as long as they give you permission and you may have to pay a fee. Often times you will have to (and sometimes your child, if he is older) write a letter to the Board of Education stating why you want to go to a school not in your district. Call your BOE in the morning for more information.

For public schools, in most places you have to send your kids to the school in your district.

most schools have something called school of choice, witch means you can register your child where u want, but u will have to call, and find out if that school u r interested is involved with it.

It depends on where you live. Check with your local school district to find out. Good Luck

it seems to me that you should be able to choose where ever you want since it is your child. but probably not public schools.
