I just answered another question like this a few minutes ago...It sounds like a sebaceous cyst. A large boil. it will take 2 or three days to 'mature' then you will need to either go to the doctor or you just need to read "carinma22" question about 20 minutes ago over in 'Skin Conditions'. The answers after mine are all good. Good luck.

It may be a staph infection (as in boil), or an infected hair follicle.
Don't squeeze it whatever you do. You can try gliding a piece of ice back and forth over it for a couple of minutes at a time. This can freeze the infection some. Don't let the ice cube just sit there, as you can actually get frost bite that way. Just glide it back and forth. If it gets worse, and doesn't appear to be clearing up on its own, you may need to seek medical advice. You may either need antilbiotics, or they may possibly have to lance it.
Good luck on that.

i sounds like a boil, i get them in the same area. you can apply a hot (as hot as you can stand) rag to the area to try to draw the core out by pinching it. They are painful and that area is the worst. It will go away eventually on its own but i always use the hot pack.

It could be a number of things...groin pull, swollen glands, hernia. Your best bet is to visit your doctor.

Probably a swollen/infected lymph gland. At least that's what mine was.

I think you should see your doctor as soon as possible, to have that checked out.
