How old is your dog? Is it 4 weeks, a year and 4 weeks, or what? If it's 4 weeks, you can probably take puppy food, put it in a blender with some water and mix it up till it's liquid. Then, you put it in a bottle and feed the pup. The puppy may be old enough to make a soft gruel of the puppy food and put it in a bowl and let the puppy lap it up. You'll probably want to put the pup in a sink or bathtub, though, cause it can get pretty messy. Keep a camera handy too cause it's hilarious. Ask your vet what feeding schedule it should be on. He/she will probably need to be fed every 6 hrs or so. You gradually decrease the amount of water you put in the food until it's eating solid puppy food.
If the dog is over a year, it can probably have adult dog food.

you put 4 week year old pitbull i'm assuming the puppy is 4 weeks old by the way i raise pitbulls theyre a great breed of dog if the puppy is only 4 weeks old give it canned pedigree puppy food mixed with dry keep it plenty of water in its bowl and dont forget to take it to the vet for its wormings , puppies should be wormed at 2,4,6,10,&12 weeks of age best to buy your wormer from the vet when you take him or her in the first time just ask if you can buy enough wormer to finish his wormings remember to write down how much you should give him so you dont give him too much wormer they should provide you with the medicine dropper and sell you some wormer

to be honest i dont know why you have a 4 week old pit bull. they are under the D/D ACT and the mother should have been spade any way.
as for a 4 week old puppy of any breed it should still be with its mother.
and you should have know what to do should the situation arise that the puppy is away from the mum for medical reasons only. so i sujest you would be better with a toy cuddly dog ,

Go to WalMart, PetCo, or PetSmart---or a local pet store---and buy infant mammal formula. They make a general type for all small mammals. You can get it in cans (liquid) or in powder that you have to mix with water. This is if you need to bottle feed him. You should be able to buy a can of the wet "mushy" dog food and get him to eat it though, if he is 4 weeks old. Any brand is good, just make sure it's not chunky---the puppy could choke on it.

Soak about 1/3 of a cup of dogs food in water until it is soggy....I would say 30 minutes...then feed it to him. Do this four times a day until he is 6 weeks old...then 3 times a day....when he reaches 12-14 weeks of age...feed him twice a day....during the 6-14 week period soak the water slowly decreasing the time....until he eats hard food...remember bananas, apples, carrots and celery are good for his diet sliced up. I substitute one of my guys meals of the same amount he would get in food...but with fruit...lunch meal works best. Good Luck...rememebr stay away from food like, Chocolate, tea, coffee, grapes and onions...do some research on the internet....

Canidae Chicken and Rice formula. The bag says its good for all life stages. My dog has been eating this since she was 3 weeks old. If this becomes too hard to chew, dice up tender meat like chicken or ham in small bits and feed it to him in handfull portions.

You can get "dames milk" which you need to mix if hes not totally weaned, if he is get a nutritious brand of puppy kibble, (my bullies like iams)or another reputable brand. Mix it up once in a while with cottage cheese for calcium and bone and teeth growth. Good luck to ya.

I would probably feed it puppy canned food. I heard that milk will upset their stomachs. Sorry can't help much.
