My dogs nose is black-then last winter -it was all pink-around spring or summer-it started to turn black again and was almost all black but now it is all pink again-the vet don't know either. My dog turned 2 yrs old this past october, 2006. My other 2 dogs don't have this problem-they all eat the same food-Iams and always have. Anybody have a clue?

Your dog has what is called a "snow nose".It's related to the lack of sunlght in the summer and can be related to a B vitamin deficiency. It's nothing to worry about and will continue to come and go with the season. But keep in mind that the nose will never get as dark as it initially was.

P.S. Tell your veterinarian to look up hypopigmentation/snow nose.

It is a pigment phenomenon - called wintry weather, or Snow nose. With any luck, the dark color must return, with the advent of Spring. It's peculiar that you've got now not visible this for the duration of previous Winters however so probably anything else is occurring.

it is a pigment phenomenon - stated as iciness, or Snow nostril. with any success, the darkish coloration could return, with the advent of Spring. it is strange which you have have been given no longer considered this throughout previous Winters in spite of the undeniable fact that so probably something else is going on.
