He seems to like saying certain people are are going to hell. He said all liars are going to hell, and it made me wonder who was left to go to heaven.

John Hagee is a good preacher and a good teacher.
He was referring to chronic liars, who do it all the time to expose and hurt people w/their lies.
Listen closely to the subjects being discussed...
Peace.....

I like him, one of the few.

Additionally, John tells us in Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and >>all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Maybe Hagee took that to mean liars would end up in hell i.e. not heaven.

Most people do not like the truth, therefore they do not like those preaching the truth. John Hagee preaches of the word of God...the Bible says liars will go to hell...so John Hagee says Liars will go to hell...Plain and simple...therefore those who lie do not like him...because to like him would mean they agree with him...and to agree with him would put them in the pits of hell on judgement day!
Most people tend to like those who say you can do whatever you want and still make it to heaven! Or that God is peace and Love and never mention that hell exists and the Bible speaks of how Hell enlarges daily yet heavens demensions are set and does not enlarge!
In other words...according the Bible...only a portion of people will make it to heaven. The reason hell has to keep enlarging is because they would not turn to Jesus, therefore God must make room for them in HELL.The bible says the blind shall lead the blind and they'll all fall in the ditch!
You cannot cheat, lie, curse the name of God, backbite each other, mock, and so many other sins and expect to make it to heaven. There's a very HOT place for sinners!

It doesn't matter if you believe or not! The ending result will be the same. Just like if someone told you a lion was outside your door and you don't believe, yet when you walk outside you get eaten...you don't have to believe! The truth still exists! God exists, Jesus exists, heaven exists and so does hell! Judgement day also exists! I would not want to be in some of your shoes on judgement day
You said you wonder if liars go to hell who was left to go to heaven...simple...those who believe...believe that if you ask for forgiveness of lying you will be cleansed of that sin...We are human and make mistakes...but asking for forgiveness is the key...and to ask wouuld mean you believe...and many wont do it because they are too proud!

I saw that sermon about lying.
Paul says that all liars will go to hell, along with thieves, fornicators, etc.
He's a good preacher, just a bit hell-fire and brimstone extreme sometimes.

i like him but I cannot say i ever heard him say those things. I do believe he understands the plan of salvation and knows that those who come the Jesus and accept Him as Savior will go to heaven.

You won't be able to count the number of people in Heaven. There will be many there, will you be one of them?

He is a talented preacher of some pedigree. A bit of a blow hard for my taste though.

Yeah well what the hell makes him think he knows the mind of God? How dare he tell anyone how to get into the kingdom of heaven...

I have a hope and it isn't in him.

He's every reason I would not ever be Christian. I have heard him say some weird things aobut people he met who were possessed by demons. I've never heard him interpret anything I really agree with.
