i think so, it sounds like it could get to a very bad point. instead of taking sleeping pills, why don't you get in bed and watch a really good movie, listen to music, or eat comfort food. try calling your family or one of your friends to get your mind off your boredom. sleeping pills aren't bad, but it sounds like you are depending on them, even if it is just twice a week. i don't mean to offend you, and even though i don't know you, i don't want to think you are hurting yourself.
good luck and take care

I think if you only take sleeping pills occasionally because you need to SLEEP it is okay.
But what you are doing is a little different. You are actually doing it for psychological reasons-- you are calling it boredom, but it sounds like depression. Taking a drug--- any drug--- for some psychological reason can very easily lead to heavier drugs and dependency.
Now you are simply wanting to sleep--in other words, feel nothing, be numb. That could in time lead to heavier drugs or alcohol to achieve the same effect--- or other 'more exciting' drugs to relieve the boredom.
There's a big world out there--- and rather than make a long list of 'things to do', I will just suggest you put some energy into finding things that you will enjoy. if you can think of nothing, then volunteer to help the sick or needy. You will be surprised how doing good for others not only relieves the boredom, but gives you a whole new outlook on life.
I wish you the best.

Yes it is bad, all sleeping pills are habit forming, it just takes time to find that out. After a long peroid of time you will feel you will not get a good rest Unless you take the pills, then you are hooked.

Taking pills just to get to sleep is a bad thing they have bad side effects they can leave you groggy in the morning, maybe read a book about an hour before bed that will help you sleep, or maybe do something to pass the time.
