I study Kabbalah at the Bnei Baruch Center for Kabbalah studies, and I can tell you it truly is the only way one can discover oneself and reach absolute happiness, I totally recomend it!!!

Bnei Baruch defines Kabbalah this way: "The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches a practical method to attain the upper world and the source of our existence. By realizing our true purpose in life, one attains perfection, tranquility, unbounded enjoyment and the ability to transcend the limitations of time and space while still living in this world."

If you wish to know more about Kabbalah, visit the Bnei Baruch site at: www.kabbalah.info, or email me, I'll be glad to answer any question. I study kabbalah at Bnei Baruch

Ebony, no, thats pop kabbalah, which is... well, BS.

the REAL kabbalah is very powerful, and very complex. it covers everything.

its very good, and its profoundly holy and "of God".

what is really interesting is how much of everyday jewish traditions about some things are actually derived from kabbalah, without people even knowing it.

Jesus was a Kabbalist, ;-)

edit: for slightly more detail... the pop-kabbalah is taking the most simplified and fundamental aspects, and boiling it down, adding a somewhat sketchy skeletonized version of the involved parts, in a way thats got so much of the meat and deep meaning removed that its pretty much useless.

you have to work up to really grasping some things, and if you skip the deeper meanings and take a simplified version fo the advanced stuff... it really just doesn't mean jack.

think of it this way. everyone knows the "phrase" of E= MC^2, but without knowing all the stuff that works up to that... it doesn't REALLY mean jack. its just a phrase that some other smart people say means something.

It is another cult...

Another one that is searching for sometime that they will never achieve. GOD is the only way.. HE is the Peacemaker, the Healer, the Comforter...

Kabbalah — the world’s oldest body of spiritual wisdom — contains the long-hidden keys to the secrets of the universe as well as the keys to the mysteries of the human heart and soul. Kabbalistic teachings explain the complexities of the material and the nonmaterial universe, as well as the physical and metaphysical nature of all humanity. Kabbalah shows in detail, how to navigate that vast terrain in order to remove every form of chaos, pain, and suffering.

I've been studying the theoretical end of it lately. In that context, it's an excellent organizational method--I've found myself throwing nearly everything I come up against onto the Tree.

ETA: Perhaps someone could enlighten me as to the nature of the "celebrity" Kabbalah? I've been studying it through occultists (Fortune, Crowley, Regardie) and it's apparently taken in a very different light elsewhere.

I think that celebrities will find the newest fad to latch onto, without regard to a people's ancient faith and worship.

Can Kabbalah really be reduced to the wearing of a red string and water?
