Never deliberately give yourself a fever. A fever is hard on the body and can escalate to a life threatening situation quickly.

Cover yourself with blankets. Including your head and face. When using the thermometer suck on it with one long continues suck. This really worked for me in HS. I stayed home for a month.

When I was a kid, I could get my temperature up to 104 just by stressing and kind of concentrating on "hot." Seriously.
