He didn't trust or believe in the church nor did the Gnostics.

He believed God could be found anywhere you chose to look for him even within ones self, so did the Gnostics.

He said to seek truth which is basically saying to be open minded and intelligent, this is the primary way of thinking for a Gnostic.

And in the end the church had the Romans kill both Christ and the Gnostics for for being open minded and truthful.

The both seem very similar to me in numerus ways.

Yes he was a Gnostic. People tend to be completely ignorant with respect to what a gnostic is. All of life is gnostic. A gnostic is one that seeks inner direct experience of God, even to know their own divinity, which in this they will know God. The indwelling logos Yeshua/Jesus was able to be manifest in him, that is to say when he put on the anointed mind he became one with God. The whole gospel of John IS COMPLETELY Gnostic. The first chapter is very gnostic and much of the other things. To be gnostic is to be mystical, a gnostic and mystic goes hand and hand. If Yeshua/Jesus proclaim his relationship with God, then he was a gnostic, as a gnostic seeks direct experience of their reltationship with God through knowing their own divine nature.

He was a Essene mystic. Thus he was a Gnostic, as many of the Essene became Ebonites.

Ya_man, nope that portray of matter was an allegory. But did not Yeshua/Jesus call satan the Prince/God of this world? What are you trying to say?

First of all, you're wrong. Jesus never said anything you claim. He definitely never said, "search for the truth". In fact, he is the only God that claims He is the truth.

John 14:6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

I can't believe no one had cited this yet. When Jesus walked the Earth, he specifically said why He was here. it had nothing to do with the Church, Romans, Catholics, or any of the sort. He definitely couldn't have been here to defend Christianity. Other than the prophecy at hand, Christianity didn't exist. It definitely wasn't called Christianity.

John 6:43-47
43 But Jesus replied, “Stop complaining about what I said. 44 For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up. 45 As it is written in the Scriptures, ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me. 46 (Not that anyone has ever seen the Father; only I, who was sent from God, have seen him.)

47 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes has eternal life.

I believe the two have alot of similarities but I Jesus had faith while most Gnostic's believe in salvation through knowledge. I also believe the separation goes pretty for back in history, even before Christ.

No. Gnostics believed that the world had an evil nature and that they should acquire a secret knowledge of the workings of God and His universe.

Mostly yes but since he was later adopted by rome he became an iconic religious figure and thats really the only difference i see. Gnostic's are like underground rock. And jesus became like nickelback haha. Most people will disagree with you cause they have not even studied there bible. And think the old testament was peace and love.

YES

I agree with you entirely.

Besides, the Nag Hammadi Gospels make much better sense of the world and His words than the New Testament does.

According to much gnostic views, Jesus isnt even a human. He is the embodiment of wisdom.
Thats why his life story is so similiar to old testament practices. He is the merging of Greek mythology and Jewish tradition. Why do you think it says 'To the Jews a stumbling block and to the greeks foolishness'? They had names for other peoples in the world, they were just not interested in them
The gospel was for the jews and the greeks.

You need to study up on the Council of Nicea. The questions you bring up we're already thought of in the late 2nd, early 3rd centuries. The Council of Nicea refuted it.

Jesus was an Essene Jew. Which was very similar to the Gnostics. I believe that Gnosticism is closer to what he preached and believed than mainstream Christianity.

Of course he was.

You can still get his real teachings from a book called the course in miracles. They are a lot different from the nonsense the roman catholics cooked up to subvert his true teachings in the bible.

Love and blessings Don
