My girlfriend and I broke up three days ago. She said she felt tied down to me and wanted to see other people, wanted to know what it felt like. However! Only a week ago she had said she only wanted to be with me, so it was making no sense. She slept over this weekend and was all over me and cuddly, however would not let me kiss her or anything like that. If I asked about "us" she would get a bit upset and tell me not to bring it up, she said I was being too clingy and emo. She told me not to be miserable. I can tell she is still in love with me, however what do you think is making her act this way? I know she has Bi Polar could that be a part of it? If I let her go for a while is it possible she will come back and see I am the better man? We've been through a break up before and she came back. What can I do to win her affection?

She said she may want to be with me again but not for a very long time if ever, she just wants to see if there is someone else out there for her before she becomes tied down.

Stand aside and be a man. Suck it up. Make her come to you. You have to get busy and independent. You don't have to date someone else if you are not ready. Just find something to do, preferably in a social setting. Go lift weights or something. Take a class. Be interesting to other people. Be unavailable to her.
Bi-polar disorder varies greatly from person to person. Medication needs can change over time. Study up on it, and see if she is exhibiting other behaviors related to it.
Finally, if you are quite young, (under 30), she may very well have a need for new experiences. Are you stuck in rut, doing the same thing every week? Anybody under a 100 can feel the need for change. Good luck!

I really hate to say this to you because I don't want to be the one to be all negative, but you just have to listen to what she says and believe her. She has told you that she doesn't want to be in a relationship and wants to see other people. that's it. She is gone. You should not try to do anything to win her affection. Move on. If she does happen to come back thats great, but chances are she won't. And one thing that definitely won't bring her back is if you go chasing after her. that will just reassure her that no matter what she does you will always be there as a back up

Okay Mr. read the book ... "he is just not that into you" reverse it. She is doing it because ... you are not "the one"... if you were she would not be acting like that it. Really, she would be captivated, and a one hearted man. Good news is that you are "the man, the one" just to someone else. You want to feel like that - go get it...it's not her. It hurts, wipe the tears. Go find her, the one that will validate you. Degree in psyc. and worked 17 years with individuals with the same and simular challenges. It is a bandaid, but you will bear the open wound.

she's made it clear that she does not want to be intimate w/ you.....and you cannot have a relationship without being physical, otherwise, you are just friends. Sorry to say: it's over. YOU be the one to end it, on YOUR terms, that way, you won't be hurt when she does find someone else. Stop hanging out, no more cuddling, no more phone chats.....

Do the same thing you did last time. If that doesn't work, eat until you've gained 150 pounds, then call her up and say "Look what you did to me."

Just ignore her. I hate when girls play games. You have to be the stronger one. If she wants you she'll come for you if not go find someone else.
