They can be, but you had better be very wealthy and even then, it's not worth it. Which is a shame because there are many French cars, Japanese cars and European Fords that I'd like to own.

Renault was NEVER part of AMC. AMC just sold re-badged Renault cars as their own. They were junky cars, though.

Why would you want somthing thats hard to repair and expencive on parts because of importing. I'm sure you can, but it will be over priced and you're not getting very much.
