Intellectual chemistry and physical chemistry are two different things, so there's no telling how it will go until you meet each other. 7 years is a long time to talk to someone though, so you must have something special between you. I say you should meet each other or you're throwing away a chance at something that could be amazing. At the least you'll always have each other as a good friend. Good luck to you both.

YES! Right now you are in love with a story you are telling yourself. Real time is the real test. Someone will have to make a trip or your're going to have to meet in the middle. How do you date and really get to know each other???Impossible unless you have a lot of free time and money.
you never really know until you live inside another person's life as a start, and with them as the final test.

I think anything is possible, however I think you two know each other well enough. I believe that you're just nervous, I'm sure she feels the same way. I do think that things will be OK between you two. When you find someone special, you hang on to it. All the best and talk about how you feel, I'm sure she can relate.

Sounds more like a long distance wife. There is a difference between long distance and real life chemistry.

yeah, I knew a guy that talked to a girl online for like 5 years. They arranged it to be in the same city... within a year it was gone. Horrible feelings, complete end to the relationship and all ends cut. However, it seems worth the gamble to me.

I think if it were true chemistry you wouldn't have waited 7 years to meet. It would be great to meet in person and see how it goes, but don't expect more than friendship. But hey, if more comes of it, that would be a nice bonus. :)

I think everything should be okay because if you have the same interests or talk about your interests and they match then you should be able to connect with your girl friend in person. Are you afraid she might not like you for who you are? are you afraid about other things that you two might have differences on?

Nope.
Not to me.
I chat with someone I have a lot in common with on msn, and we've met in real life, and it was true.

wait to you meet to decide how each other are. Be friends. When you meet and go out for a bit then you can decide.
