If you feel the need to tell him, then do so. If he asks, let him know the truth. It's natural to flirt, just make sure that you aren't going beyond those lines. Flirting and cheating are two different things.

You should definitley NOT tell him about it. You have no reason to feel guilty if that all it was was flirting . But his pride will be damaged if you tell him and he may then have doubts that he didn't before. So, as long as it was just innocent flirting, with no intention of action on your part, then no, don't tell him.

Did the flirting go an further than talking? If not, there is no harm in what you have done as long as you do not have any further contact with the guy.
