Paris of course, there's no way not to fall in love with this city no matter where are you from.

I've been to both, and it really depends on the type of vacation you like.
If you're a city person, appreciate language, culture, history and goog food, and are willing to try to speak French, Paris is the best. Just remember that you must at least attempt to speak some French, otherwise you'll learn the phrase "stupid American" very quickly. Or, go on one of the Tours where you have a Tour Guide to help you around this beautiful country.
If you are a beach person, Hawaii is nice. It's a little overrated when compared to being able to visit an all-inclusive in Mexico. I have found in the two times I was there, that while it is beautiful, it gets old really quicky because you're pretty much "stuck" on an island.

For French people there are a few places that really attracts us. They are usually in the ocean, have lost of sand, a hot weather, beautiful woman. The first place that comes is Tahiti then not far would be Hawaii.
I went to the 2 and for me the choice isn't difficult. Even if I'm French it will be Honolulu and Waikiki without a doubt. Like this no need to wear tons of clothes in winter, I can eat delicious Chinese food, enjoy the beach.
Paris is mainly shopping, visiting. Oh there is what we call Paris-Plage meaning Paris-beach in summer but it ain't funny at all as you can't swim. But food is great there.

Totally Paris!! But then again I have been there. It was so awesome. Everything was so different than here in the states and the language barrier really wasn't that bad. You just have to be polite and then the natives have no problem helping you and even practicing their english on you. The city was awesome, transportation was a breeze with the Metro, and the food was to die for!!!! And you can make your trip affordable by eating at bakeries and delis instead of all sit down places. We just watched where other people were going and went to those places. The bread is awesome no matter where you buy it and believe it or not they have some of the best strawberries ever.

Paris - it is a rare opportunity - Hawaii is great but not as great a cultural expanse as Paris.

That is a toss up! But considering I went to Hawaii already, I choose Paris, only if I am going with my husband. Or if you only have a certain amount of money, I'd go wherever was cheapest.

Go to Hawaii...it is so beautiful and exotic...Paris although it seems to sound interesting gets boring quickly and I have found that the french dont really like americans that much..plus if you dont speak french your in for a ride....its hard to order food, find stores, get a cab....but hawaii seems like you are in another country but at least they speak english so its not such a culture shock

I've been to both and they are both amazing places to visit. It just depends on what you want. If you are looking for beaches, hiking, and snorkeling, go to Hawaii. If you want a vacation to go on historical tours and see art museums and cathedrals, then Paris is what you want.
