My poodle puppy is breathing weird. She is alittle over 12 weeks old and is up to date on all her shots. Her nose is wet and cold, she is eating well and acting fine. My concern is I can't really explain it but I will trying. She isn't coughing but she makes these weird noises like an owl and when she barks its like she has to catch her breath. Its sounds like when we have built up fluid in our lungs and when you breathe you make that crackling noise. She also snores bad. Help?

12 weeks old you can rule out the having puppies theory. Only a VET can make the proper diagnosis.

I always thought my dog breathed a little funny. But not scary funny. And dogs noses are always wet, and since the weather is cold, also always cold. Nothing wrong there. I'm only concerned about the breakthing. Maybe the puppie's lungs aren't developing properly. Take her to a good vet right away. I'm sorry I can't help!

your puppy could have eaten or swallowed something
I recommend taking it to a vet asap
you should also look into pet insurance if you are worried about the bills
there are some excellent choices out there today ASPCA even now had pet insurance you can split the payments montly
never let cost stop you from taking a pet to the vet

your dog could also have an URI (upper respitory Infection)
this is common and easily treated with antibiotics

whatever the case, use your common sense
and keep the puppy away from anything it can ingest
that could make it sick

please take your puupy to the vet, it is the most humane thing you can do

This little coughing sound means that her heart is enlarged and fluid is being retained her lungs. She is trying to cough out the fluid. The bad news is if you do nothing she will eventually have congestive heart failure.
The good enws is they now use a high blood pressure med on dogs along with a diuretic , and this combo will make her heart stable and might even improve its function!

Get her to a vet right away and see if she needs enalapril and lasix(they are cheap too!)

My Beagle has been on them since age 4 and she is 11 now.

Good luck.

VET
But until you can get her to a vet, take her into the bathroom, shut the door, and turn the shower on hot. Then sit down while holding her to make sure she is relaxed. The steam should help break up whatever is causing this.

well maybe she is because she is breathing weird. go see a doctor A.S.A.P! its either shortness of breath or something else. some of this maybe normal.it may just be a cold or she is running or playing to much. but other then that i say, just not to be worried, go see a vet, it will help u and your pet feel more better.
Hope this helps. I hope you and your puppy feel better.

Take her to a vet. It could be serious. She also may have a cold, since its winter (well here it is). Watch her behavior and eating patterens.

sometimes puppies just breathe funny when they sleep. but, if it sounds like she is actually having difficulty breathing, you might want to take her to the vet. no need to panic, just have her checked.
