when we added a new dog to our house, our 1 year old dog played with the new pup and was so much more active causing her to pee and go to the bathroom more
I recommend after any play session, take them both out, new puppies must relieve themselves after even just 15-30 minutes of play, and your other dog is no exception, increased activity, especially "play" will do it!
if this doesn't help the problem, go directly to your vet,
keep your routine as normal as possible , dogs crave routine
but never leave them unsupervised -especially with a new pup
avoid wee wee pads with the new pup, and take it out as often as possible to get it on a routine of its own
hope this helps you

I do believe that animals know. As for the acting out, it will get worse. My dog has turned into a little terror. He tears stuff up, peed and pooped in the house, just gets to be so terrible. Its kind of like they are your first kid and don't want to make room. As far as when I was at the end of my pregnancy and when my son was born, my once happy and kind dog turned into a psycho over-protective dog. I was seriously afraid he was going to bite someone because he wouldn't let anyone near us. It was kind of cute though. My son is now 1 1/2 years old and they have a bond. So it does work out although there may be some challenges along the way.

My opinion is that it's a reaction to either the puppy or boarding. He's probably marking his territory or just showing his emotions. I'm thinking that it's not a bladder infection because I don't think that would make him poop in the house. Just in case, I'd still observe him for an infection and call the vet if you're still worried.
Oh, I will tell you that I know that pets do show their emotions by messing in the house. My friends cat did it because he didn't like her new boyfriend. He's only done it once since they split.

K- he has been through alot and may be feeling like" whoa" is this my home or what? A dog's natural instinct when feeling threatened is to "mark" the territory! He may also be marking it as a way of saying this female is his too ! If he is not fixed then that is the best answer!- Excitement over her being there too can be it so it will take him time to get used to another being there!- If you think the vet's boarding area was unsanitary then call then and ask for a free check up on that urinary infection!- Hope you did check where his living areas were before leaving him- Never take a vet or others say so unless you see it for yourself! Hope it helps!

If he is not neutered I am afraid you are going to have a lot of peeing "accidents". They are not "accidents". Unneutered males will mark their territory especially when another dog is present. That could account for the peeing. As for the poo it is probably a reaction to his being home after being away. Just keep an eye on him, look for signs of him starting to go and take him out immediately.

It's probably number 1, it could also be a dominance thing with the knew puppy. You need make sure he knows it's not okay to go to the bathroom in the house. If he keeps it up, a vet visit wouldn't hurt.

If it were my dog, I'd make a vet appt. to rule out a physical cause. It your dog is cleared, then dealing with the behavior issues is warranted. But if it is a physical problem, you can waste a lot of time approaching it behaviorally without success if your dog is ill.

maybe he is marking territory because of the new dog. or he is just nervous. give him a little while and he will be okay. but if you are worried about a pee infection, collect a sample and take it to your vet for testing
pugs are so cute!

forget about making an appt. just go in, you know it is still done in this day and time, to find out what is up with your dog.
