ok here is my problem, i met this guy a few months ago and since then we do a lot of stuff together we hang out after school, go to the mall and the movies and he comes over too. so my problem is that i like him a lot... but he has a girlfriend. apparently now, his girlfriend doesnt want him hanging out with me or talking to me anymore because he talks to me on the phone a lot and apparently sometimes when she is with him. I need to figure out a way to get over him because i know that right now nothing can happen and since he is already taken... he already knows that i like him and he said he likes me too but not enough to break up with his girlfriend. So how can i get him out of my head? How can i get over him when i hang out with him every day and everyday i like him more than the last.? i need help with this problem because he im very close with him and i have to stop likeing him soon so if you have any suggestions please help!

p.s. he didnt really say "my girlfriend is better than you" it was more like "i dont know how i can break up with her" but i dont want to stop hanging with him because hes one of my few friends i can actually talk to and he can get me out of my upset state of mind which isnt easy. He said he was just confused and he didnt want to ruin this great friendship we have... which i get but he also said he would break up with her.. he just doesnt know how to do it.

it sounds like you two are already bf and gf. it also sounds like he doesn't want to make a commitment to you because he's afraid of losing some girl that might be really popular? If his girlfriend doesn't permit him to hang out or talk with you, then you won't be around him everyday, so how can you like him more? i suggest looking at someone else who doesn't have a bf and start liking him, find his good qualities not this guy. hope this helps

Wow...that is a really hard thing. I went through the same thing. My current boyfriend and I fell head over heals with each other. Only he had a girlfriend (whom he didn't really like) Personally, I think you have a couple options. You can just tell him "hey you have a girlfriend, I don't think we should hang out anymore." or you could tell him how you really feel about him. Tell him that you like him and that you think he's leading you on. (from what you've said it doesn't sound like "he's just friends" with you.) That's my advice. Honesty is the best thing you can give this guy. Maybe he feels the same way about you. I hope everything goes well for you.

It's simple, but hard...you need to stop hanging out with him.
You need to stop doing this, because the only thing that is happening is your feelings are growing for him, yet he goes back to a girlfriend.
Also, your hanging out with him is causing issues in his relationship, so just back off.

Of course he probably doesn't want to stop hanging with you because guys always like to keep an option open.
The fact is he WILL NOT break up with his g/f for you no matter how he says it, that is the bottom line.

wouldn't him telling you that you're not worth it to be with in comparison to his present girlfriend be enough? "sorry, you're great, but my girlfriend is better than you so no". Hard as it seems, I think distance will help. Some gradual distancing, like talk less each day and hang out less and eventually take it down to a level you both find acceptable.

Well, i wouldn't say you have to get over him.just try to make him jealous so he will come crawling to you. you sound like your in a tough spot. if he likes you and get jealous then you have a great guy. but if he doesn't then you can start getting over him by just not hanging out as much. you should still hang out but just like not like you already do. good luck with what happens!

try concentrating on something or someone else, spend time with other friends. though it won't be easy to get over him and it won't happen overnight.
