Say something like this,"I have been noticing that you have not been feeling well. I am very concerned when I see you throwing up. You mean so much to me and I don't want anything bad happening to you. I would really appreciate it if you went with me to see the doctor. I want to go with you to support you."

My two cents....

Why do you think he needs to see the doc? Just because he threw up a couple of times when it is definately the flu season is not reason to see the doc. If there were other symptoms with the vomiting or things that you left out of your post then that would be different.

The only thing I can say is to just suggest it to him in a loving and caring way. Tell him how much you love him and that you are concerned and don't want him to get any worse. That's how I am able to communicate with my husband and even my father. I don't know if this helps... good luck and Happy New Year.

best way is say "Which day is good for you to go to the doctor when I call?" "You are NOT giving me some dang stomach bug or whatever your coming down with".....then if that doesn't work then tell him scre* it, am not going to worry any more I have enough insurance on you to live and travel on the rest of MY lifetime...then laugh and move out of room..

Seriously, men are the hardest to get to doctor unless in severe pain, constantly vomiting or feel like they are dying.

Most men dont typically visit a doctor until they are clinically dead for two weeks, haha.

Seriously, though, I know it can be a problem. Its almost all ego. Men dont typically like to admit that they might be weakened from anything including an illness so dont tell him it is for his own good. Tell him it is for yours. You are worried about his health and it is upsetting for you to know that your husband is sick. Then he can convince himself that he is going to the doctor to please you. I.e., his ego remains intact. Capiche?

Just tell him to go for an annual check up or physical, just to be sure. Once he goes, he will get it over with.

Tell him that you are going to take out a VERY LARGE insurance policy on him.

tell him nicely-maybe by kissing him...if that doesn't work and the other stuff don't work as well--bring the doctor to him.
good luck and a happy new year
