HD DVD disc drives, but those are only for watching movies. I'm talking about surfing the internet in high definition resolution; or is the way we view the internet now the sharpest it's ever going to look?

Most current computers and monitors are already "high definition." HD is either 720 horizontal lines progressive or 1080 lines interlaced or progressive; monitors and laptop screens that are 768 pixels high or more are pretty much commonplace.

Well in a way I guess I can see it getting better, think about it, in video games you may question "Is this the sharpest it can look?", but some how they always make it better!

While you may wonder, how can text writing on a monitor improve? Answer: Do you ever have to lean in real close and think "Hmm what does this say?" Improving a resolution to its max would mean you could easily read anything without difficulty (Assuming its at your reading level :D)

Most current computers and monitors are already high definition I guess if you think about it though. I know mine is a 720 progressive monitor ( Meaning the lines are horizontal I belive) While there is probaly 1080I( Interlaced, not sure the difference).

I'm not sure if it answers anything but it makes you kinda wonder how clear a screen can get.....
