clothes - wear regular clothes that does not stand out or are too tacky. try to be a regular guy.
in class, sit in the middle seats. do not stay at the back of the class as this will cut you out of the rest of the class. this way, you are seen by those in front and those at the back. usually, other kids will start looking at you as you are the new kid in the block.
ask a question - ask the person beside you were the book store is or what time does the next class start. just general questions.
you won't believe this, but the people in class will start talking to you to find out where you are from, etc.
in the first day, you would have made a friend. someone will start talking to you and even ask you to join them for lunch, etc.
you will be surprised!

Hey. I've had to move schools about five times since sixth grade, and I'm only in eleventh now, so that's a lot of moves! I wouldn't worry too much about making friends, because a lot of the time, people switch to different classes after christmas break, so there might be other new people there besides you! Just be nice and try to be a bit complementary. (Give people complements-I'm sorry if you know what that meant already--no offense if you did!) Also try to not let your first impressions of people set how you are for the rest of the year. Talk to the kids who sit alone at lunch and you will come across some of the best friends you could ever have. Try to see if you can join a club. Do you like anime? Photography? Are you in the band? Choir? Try to get involved in an extracurricular activity. That is an awesome way to meet new friends. I hope that everything goes well for you at your new school and good luck! =)

If it is anything like where I live, the students will be very eager to help you find your way around and want to be your friend. It will take you a few weeks to figure out which group of friends you will be most comfortable with. It will be fine. Your teachers have students who come and go a lot so they are used to having students come in who are unfamiliar with the system and the students. I usually let my students take the lead and help the new kids but if you have any questions or problems, go ask your teacher for help, I'm sure they can steer you toward the right people and places. Good Luck!

The best way to make new friends quickly is to smile. Sounds silly? It's actually the best way to present yourself in front of people.
Let's say for example, when you walk down a hall, are you more likely to be-friend a person who has their head up, confidence, a smile platered on their face, or do you befriend a person who doesn't like to meet your eye contact and shies away? Most likely, the first case because you instantly get the message that they are friendly and are ready to make new friends.
So don't show your fear, march down the school hall and show them your pretty smile!

Run through the classroom doors and shout, "HERE I AM, COME AAAND GET ME!"
Seriously, you're doing practice runs in middle school. High school comes, then you should get freaked out. Its twice as scary. Take it from me. Just focus on school right now, the education part and use the teachers and classwork as a conversation starter. but don't be a nerd about it (not saying you are one).
You're gonna do superbly. You'll PWN that shcool by February comes!

I would try to get involved. I would look into any clubs that your school has that would be interesting to you. And clubs aren't for dorks anymore. My nephew started a skateboarding club at his school. Him and his buddies all meet a few times a month to try out new tricks and ask questions and things like that. If there aren't any clubs that you would like, I would try to just find someone that sits near you in some of your classes and try talking to them. Try to get the scoop from them, and have you introduce you around.

As cheesy as this may sound just be yourself, and talk to as many people as you can, don't shy away I'm sure you'll have at least a few friends by the end of the day! Good luck!
God bless.

aw, my biggest problem too. I moved alot so i had to deal with it. I found out to , just dont care what people are going to think of you, when you dont you end up being yourself, and that is what people see. Try to be fearless. Remember, there is alot of other kids just like you. Im 16 and I learned to just not care what they say about you. they will end up admiring you for that.

try to get to know someone who has been to that school for a long time. That way, he/she can tell you stuff about the school and how they do stuff.
