Of course. Having a soul is a necessary part of being human. It has nothing to do with what one's parents believe, or the circumstances of one's conception.

I believe they have souls. About the Christian and the Atheist having a baby, yes...it would have a soul. But, the atheist parent might not see the baby as having one, but it does. If a Christian and an Atheist could put up with each other long enough to have a kid, I say more power to them.

As a follower of Edgar Cayce theology, I would have to say that it does not matter. All souls have a purpose on earth, and some are DESTINED to die before even being born. The soul of that pre-baby will then return to the afterlife realms and be reincarnated as another human at the time of his/her choosing.

Prove that anyone has a soul first. Prove the existance of a soul before you start asking who has one and who doesn't.

And if you're so concerned with what's natural, you must live in a tree, right? And walk everywhere - cars aren't natural. And I'm sure you don't have indoor plumbing or electricity. Or a computer.

All human beings have souls and a soul has no religious affiliation. A soul enters all new borns at birth or just afterwards.

You think if your parents aren't Christian you don't have a soul? Than what is the purpose of trying to "save" a soul that doesn't exist?

Of course they do. The difference between test tube babies and "normal" ones is that their surrogate mother (The one they came out of) is not their biological one (the one that provided the egg which (excuse me if I'm being graphic) was added to the sperm, creating an embryo (a super-tiny baby)!! :)

I used to wonder the same thing about clones.

If you believe that humans have souls, then you should believe that these babies do as well. They originate from the same material as everyone else. They share the same feelings. I don't believe that we have souls, so I highly doubt it. But I really don't know, and neither do scientists.

Yes every human has a soul. God is the only one that can cause an embryo to implant in a mother's womb, not matter how the sperm and egg "meet up".

I believe they have souls, but, yes, it is very unnatural. Children are supposed to be gifts from God, not products created in a lab.
