I do not agree with Islam even if they had no killings at all
Jesus is not in their equation at all other than the fact that they feel he was a prophet only

Their are a lot of people who portray that Islam means killing and those are the fools who need to trade brains with a parameceum. You see, I continue to feel strong in and about Islam and basically don't give a hooter's tea cup what any one else chooses to do, I just do "my thing". If it turns out that I'm the only one so be it. Because of those so called jerks who have proven that Islam means to kill, Islam has certainly got a bad rep. I know by personal experience what an undeserved bad rep is all about - trust you me. How do I fell about Islam? I still feel the same I wouldn't change my belief for any thing in the world. Why? Because I know the truth as I see it, never mentioned this before and I have no proof, some idiot over in the Middle East decided that he wanted to go up against the United States and so he did, so now he's earned a name for himself and started a full scale war. I can't dwell into the man's mind as to why, yet that is how I feel and another theory is to teach the United States not to befriend and or trust Israel. The truth is Israel just knows how to play the people game a bit better than the rest; they know the secret of in order to catch more flies you need to use honey as opposed to using sugar. Arabs are just learning that now. The problem all in all is based upon the culture, which is light years away from Islam, which is where the problem originated. Never mix Islam and the Arab culture they are as different as day and night. A true Muslim who believes in a true Islam would never portray Islam as a religion of killing; instead, he or she would want to show you the spiritual aspects of it and that is how I base my life and belief in Islam.

I do not think that the religion teaches killing. The relations of Muslims with others are based primarily on peace, mutual respect and trust. The theme in the Quran is peace as long as there is no oppression or injustice that cannot be resolved by all the peaceful means available. Also, the religion of Islam condemns the killing or even the persecution of people merely because they embrace a different religion. The Quran mandates the absolute freedom of religion in a society. It does not allow Muslims to fight except for self defense and to enforce peace. It does not allow restrictions on those who disagree on religious matters. It urges the Muslims to treat such people kindly and equitably. Regrettably, many terrorists groups have used the name Islam to promote their cause and this gives many non-Muslims a chance to wrongly accuse Islam and label the Muslims as terrorists.

I am far from an expert on any religion but I can,t believe any religion advocates the senseless slaughter that is going on in so many parts of the world. I,m a christian and know absolutely nothing about Islam but I,m certain that all the violence currently happening in certain parts of the world dominated by the Islamic faith are done by a relatively small percentage of the people and not condoned by the majority.

The Old testament (therefore the TORAH which the Jews follow) also advocates killing as well - just witness modern day Jews killing Palestinians.

The catholic church (so called christians) actually did a lot of killing during the crusades and still do in Northern Ireland, so its not just the Muslims.

And to CelticFairy's post immediately before this one - I totally agree with you.

If that religion is so great, why do they all come here to America and get educated? Why do they covet materialism and capitalism? Why do they always point fingers at some "other" Islamic sect?

I think Islamics are cowards who need to put their house in order and silence those fundamentalists causing all the terror, war, and mayhem. Otherwise, stay over where they came from and shut up about their religion..............

do you want to know why those muslims kill? because they are ignorant of their own religion. they dont hate because they think americans are "infedels" as some think. look at the rest of the world...is it getting attacked? no. they think america is their enemy for some reason. think of their attacks as military attacks. japan attacked pearl harbor during the world war but are they remembered for that only? no. was it right even in that time period to hate all japanese because of that? no. what i'm trying to say is dont base the religion by the mistakes of his people. you dont do that for other religions/people, why do it for islam? i've said this a million times and i'll say it a million times again. islam is not about violence. that misconception has been formed because of the actions of many people i dont like to call muslim. if you choose to hate the religion without understanding it, that is your choice.

The thruth of the matter lies in religion itself and not the fundamental factors of it. Almost all religion is based on the same basic fact; that thier believers are the "chosen" one or "better" one or the only ones who will enter the kindom of heaven or whatever afterlife the religion is based upon. This fact alone creates the anarchy. It is human nature to put ourselves "above" other humans and other lifeforms. As long as we continue to beleive that, there will never be peace on earth. We have to start to beleive that the only thruth is that we are all here on this earth, it belongs to all of us and no one has the right to take another lifeform away from it. What you choose to beleive in should be your right but it should not supercede what someone else does nor should it be a right to kill. My personal opinion on the whole matter is, if God wanted me to kill someone for him, Id tell him send me to hell first cause I am not going to do it. IF thats the price I have to pay to get to heaven, Id rather not go there. Thats not the GOD i would want anyway.

The same way I feel about Christians after all the killing they've done.

Inquisition, Salem witch hunts, Crusades..

I don't like the killing, but most religions have their freaks and fanatics.

Their teachings and actions have not changed for thousands of years. They have not even offered to change their way of thinking toward others. The radicals that is.I'm sure there are plenty of peaceful Muslim's that are caught in the crossfire.Until their worldview completely changes toward all of humanity, and the west, nothing will change.
