My cable box is no where near a phone jack but is near an outlet. Can I use vonage by hooking up to my phone line thorugh the electrical outlet? WHat are my choices to getting voip?

you hook it up near your computer modem! take the RJ-45 and put it in the Ethernet port!

The vonage adapter gets hooked up directly to your cable modem. It is meant to be first in line and then your computers come after it. If you don't have a phone jack nearby this location, you can try getting a set of wireless phone jacks. Don't plug them into a power bar as they usually filter out the signal. Plug it directly into a wall outlet and use the other end in the outlet closest to a phone jack that's the closest to where the other wireless jack is located.

vonage sucks. but there right about people doing dumb things like buying vonage
