Sounds like too much of a gap if your talking about 8th to 10th. maybe 9th to 11th, but they're defintely different maturity wise. Plus, you said he has a gf. Why should she try to ruin something that's been going good for 2 years? Besides, I bet she could find someone much better her own age.

uhhh i think she shouldnt try.
i just dont think the guy will try since they're in different schools and in a way, think different. plus i doubt the guy will give up his girlfriend of 2 years to go out with your friend (no offense).
this guys' friends mite also make fun of him if hes dating an 8th grader! i know a 10th grade guy whos dating this 8th grader and my friends are always joking around, calling him a pedophile!!! lol, friends are so critical of dates.
but yeaa...unless your friend is gorgeous, charming, and amazingly likeable, i dont think she should try. but idk, he mite give her a chance. hope everything works out though!
