because people get hypnotized into thinking that starbucks is the best, they pay celebritys to drink starbucks in public, and there is such a demand for starbucks, that some people would be willing to pay 10 dollars for a cup instead of 5, which is already insane to begin with. but you are right, way too overpriced

One of the primary countries for coffee beans is Columbia. Guess what else they grow there? Seems to me that to be competitive with the other crop they grow, there has to be an "incentive" to grow coffee, hence they need to make it worth the farmers time. Did I mention the cost of labor to make you that "special cup" that you could "do it yourself" for 50% or more off at your local gas station.

Yea I would have to agree . They do have really good health benifits. They give their employers health insurance. Plus they are really good. They are not doing anything to make us hyped on caffeine. We're getting ourselves hyped up on caffeine. They are not comming up to us and asking us if we want to try their coffe...we're going and buying thier coffee then were getting hooked onto it.

Why? Because they can.

They're not making people do anything. People can get hyped up for less at home.
